Overview
This course addresses best practices in designing and structuring compensation and benefit plans to attract and retain qualified and competent staff. The cost of human resources is measured at between 90-95 percent of a court’s operating budget. Improving the processes of recruitment and retention of personnel goes to the delivery of the court’s objectives while meeting or exceeding performance expectations of a publicly-funded organization.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Develop strategies for attracting the best people to hire and retaining key talent.
- Identify ways to motivate and reward high-performing employees.
- Be better prepared to develop pay structures based on market information and data.
- Develop an understanding of how pay and benefits can be used to attract and maintain highly skilled staff.
